Secular Netas and Burning India
Secularism has enough rest. It is back with vengeance as the views of Nitish Kumar on the ideal PM from the NDA in next elections are splashed by the media. While the common man is burdened with day to day problems ranging from towering prices and growing insecurity the power hungry netas are making mountain over the mole on the definition of secularism at the cost of the suffering nation. The nation stuffed with so many national and regional parties has failed to provide a party which can guide the nation to peace and prosperity without confusing and provoking our oeople with lofty and distorted definitions.

President and the Common Man
As India waits for the next President it would be worth evaluating the role of President and does the man on the street is affected in any way by the office of the President. We are going to elect our 13th president but majority of our adult and literate population will not be able to name all 12 persons who have occupied this office. For many President is just a person who lives in a large mansion with hundreds of staff, enjoy all the luxuries and just give nod to whatever the executive asks for. The insistence of our political class for a person with political background as the president has further widened the gap between the people and the president. An assertive president who decides every issue by merit and who has a vision for the future should hold this office but for a few exceptions India has witnessed persons who have served their masters in all possible way from kitchen to drawing room holding this post and wasting crores of taxpayers money on frivolous grounds.
