We Must Stop this State Greed

Carving out state after state is not going to solve the problems of the people in any significant way. From the administrative point of view small states does have an edge but as in the recent case of new states all the policies and agenda has been hijacked by a nexus of corrupt politicians and bureaucrats who are the main beneficiaries with no substantial improvement in the living conditions of the people.
The Centre is also to be blamed to meekly surrendering to fasting politicians. If tomorrow fasting politicians from nine more regions demand separate, what will the Centre do? Certainly Centre has set up a dangerous precedent and as the era of coalition politics gets more solid roots in our polity we will witness more demands of statehood and hatred as in the case of Maharashtra.

When will Politicians do what they are supposed to do?

A 17-18 years teen has immediate concerns about his career, and the current socio-economic developments with burning issues like climate change and inflation which affects each and every section of the society. He or she has nothing or least concern to do whether a temple is built or not. A huge population of our young electorate are silent and helpless spectators as our politicians fight and waste taxpayers money on fixing responsibility and blaming every political rival.
Why cant they devote some more meaningful time on issues which are of immediate concern to a common man? We are proud of our democracy but we are the victim of distorted and the democracy hijacked by the politicians and the wasted interests.
