Why not Taare Zameen Par?

Slumdog Millionaire has bagged 10 nominations for the Oscars. This is remarkable achievement but the question is why not Taare Zameen par? Just because it was an completely Indian production. If you go by the subject of both the films, what is so unique in slumdog? Several pictures portraying Indian poverty, dirt and filth have praised and won accolades. We are more than happy to accept that we are a stagnant society if this certificate is given from the foreigners in the form of press, television and moulded into film. Tare Zameen Par was truly an extraordinary film which highlighted a genuine and mostly untapped problem of children suffering from dyslexia. The film beautifully displayed the trauma and struggle of a child who overcame his problems and earned his place in the society.
The time has come that we should not go overboard with foreign praise. We should first identify what we want and where the solution lies. The Indian media was overjoyed as soon as the news of Slumdog earning 10 nominations broke but failed to highlight the lacunae and biases of western media in celebrating our failures and just going blind in observing our successes.

How to become favourite/

Why do people have some pre-conceived notions? From home to office I have felt that some people will always will always remain bad for someone and some people will always be apple of someone.Unfortunately I am not the favorite of any body. it does have its advantages of maintaining a low profile. Some burning questions remains unanswered. Why I failed to become special for any body? Perhaps the fault lies in my personality and approach toward the others.
